First year runner Craig Harris continued his consistent form to take out his first win at Westgate Park. As a regular place getter, Craig has quickly adapted to the VCCL style of racing.

Steve Smith ran second, eliminating him from his usual novice cheque. Those honours went to David Spence. In third was Allen McCullen, achieving his first placing in several years.

Keith Lofthouse came all the way from Stawell to finish fourth, in a race that he instigated nine years ago.

The VCCL Dream Team Grand Final is this weekend. Competition 'organiser' Michael Marantelli and Leanne Callaghan are going head to head to decide the winner. Let's all rally around Leanne.
