On behalf of the Stawell and Ararat Cross Country Club, thanks to Joe and Machelle, all the marshals on course and Lyn and Evie in the canteen for a fantastic race. Woodlands was looking better than it ever has and it certainly inspired our young bloke Nathan Makovec who ran two minutes and eight seconds faster than he has for any other 8k event on our calendar! To Joe and Machelle, I continue to marvel at your generosity and you were rewarded with a smashing field. As I continue to tell everyone here in Stawell and in Melbourne, the thing I miss most about the big city is the running club. I said exactly that to myself when I got snarled in football traffic around the Docklands on Sunday night! Hope to see you all again before the end of the season. |
