Topic: VCCL Relay

Hi All

The annual VCCL Relay is our next scheduled event on Sunday May 15h at Woodlands Park in Greenvale. For those that haven't participated in the relay in the past, teams of 4 or 5 athletes are put together as teams and each participant runs a 3k leg. Each team will have their own colour singlets (courtesy of the VAL) and will have a handicap allocated based on the current form of the team members. The course is visible throughout and there is lots of support and cheering and normally a very exciting conclusion.

Prizemoney will be paid to the first 3 teams on both handicap and time. No one team can win both awards. It is always a lot of fun and also a great opportunity to get to know some of the other members.

There is no problems if you don't have a team as we will allocate all who wish to take part to a team. In order to enable us to put together teams can you please email or text me by next Tuesday May 10th. For those that are putting teams together, please let me know your line up by Tuesday as well.

The teams for Sunday's relay are below. If I have missed anyone who thinks they have nominated, call or text me. If you are not nominated but wish to have a run, I'm sure we will be able to add additional teams, so turn up.

The teams will all be allocated a handicap and the winner will be the first team across the line. No team can win both fastest time and handicap honours. We have a few teams of 4 in order to keep the starting spread time to a minium. (ie we want to be home before dark).

For those listed you are obviously critical to your team, so unless you have an emergency, you need to front. If you have broken your leg and cant make it, please let me know asap.
