Welcome to Season 2011

The Victorian Cross Country League would like to welcome runners and new members to the 2011 season. Once again, the season opens with the Fred Grubb Memorial 6.5km race at Strathmore on Sunday May 15th and concludes with the President's Handicap at Westerfold Park on Sunday 18th September. The two main events will be the 45th running of the Norm Charles 10km Classic at Lysterfield Park in late July with a prize pool of $2,500 and the Eaglehawk to Bendigo 6.5km road race in June. In all, the calendar will consist of eighteen races and the teams relay.
As in the past, the VCCL offer s free registration to new members and weekly race entry fees remain at $10 per race. The VCCL social club provides a BBQ and refreshments at the completion of each event.
Chris Brown has been re-appointed as the handicapper for this season.
