New Attractions For 2014

Leanne Callaghan and longtime VCCL sponsor Independent Signs will again be producing a fridge magnet calendar, starring 2013 Norm Charles winner Gary Parkes.
The season opens on Sunday, 4th May at Strathmore with the Fred Grubb and Bob Charlton Handicap. The season will comprise of 19 races including the popular relay at Nortons Park.
New to the calendar this year are the Flack Advisor Winter Classic which continues the Eaglehawk to Bendigo tradition, the Austbrokers Phillips Handicap at Lysterfield, the Myrniong Handicap at Lake Dewar Lodge, and the George Perdon Handicap moving to the Tea Gardens in Avondale Heights. The annual Legend Handicap will honour club veteran Ray O’Connor.
The apex of the season will be the Norm Charles Handicap which is now in it's 49th year.
